CO.RA. Manufactures interception, dosage and flow control valves thanks to thirty years experience in the field of design and manufacturing of components and aseptic systems for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The experience gained in dealing with the complexity of stringent norms in many sectors and the ability to produce stainless steel products has allowed us to introduce in the market machines assigned to dosing to satisfy 360° chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industry characterized by innovation and efficiency, by innovation of processes more advanced and efficient

The Inflatable / Deflatable ring Dosing System

The Inflatable / Deflatable ring Dosing System

The Inflatable / Deflatable ring Dosing System, allows the operator to lock the bag (already placed inside the container) and to perform the unloading of the product as long as the weight is not reached. Once the weight is reached the operator by the control panel unlocks the bag and the operator can proceed to close it. The working cycle of this system is similar to the Continuous Liner Discharging System, but the closing of the bag is done manually by the operator once it has finished unloading. On this type of system a dust suction system can be installed which further reduces operator contact with the product.

The standard system is composed of an adaptor interfaced with the machine to be served, a DOUBLE VALVE®, a liner fixing system or an Inflatable / Deflatable ring, a dosing terminal complete with display, incorporated keyboard and a loading cell base.

The terminal is provided with a back lit, high contrast liquid crystal digital display of weight and analog weight range with application icon signaling activities and communication interfaces for DCS Profibus type, Ethernet and RS232 connections. "Said terminal" can be connected to a multi-strip printer or label printer and a version for hazardous enviroments – zone 1/21 (ATEX 94/09/CE) is also available. The maximum dosing accuracy achievable is +/- 50 gr.

The DOUBLE VALVE®, is designed to satisfy control, dosing, regulation and mixing requirements during the filling process of products. It is a dosing valve, completely made of stainless steel AISI 316L, with a silicone gasket that complies with FDA 177.2600 norms and composed of a butterfly with a central rotor. The valve is driven by double acting pneumatic actuators, 90° for the butterfly and 180° for the rotor. The actuators are driven by a control panel interfaced with the weighing system.

A Double Valve is installed on the outlet of the machine to be discharged and it is fixed in place by clamps which simplifies the assembly and/or disassembly. The operating cycle of the system is divided into two distinct phases: heavy dosing and trickle dosing. During the first phase the butterfly opens to allow the quick discharge of 95% of the product to be dosed until the heavy weight limit is reached. During the second phase the butterfly closes and the rotor (in the centre of the butterfly) begins to trickle feed until the total weight of the product is reached.
Thanks to the acquired ergonomic knowledge CO.RA has ensured maximum protection of health and prevention of accidents of the operator during the work cycle.
The finish is satin, stainless steel for parts not in contact with the product and polished for those in contact. Upon request depending on the area where the system is installed it can be supplied completely polished.

The Continuous Liner Discharging System

The Continuous Liner Discharging System

The Continuous Liner Discharging System allows the operator to create a polyethylene (it can change based on the weight of the product to discharge) continuous liner bag inside a container for the continuous discharging of a product. The product is discharged into the polyethylene tube and once the necessary weight is reached, the system allows the operator to cut and pack the bags in a closed cycle.

The bag closing systems that CO.RA. can provide are two types: the disposable clips and the system with thermo welder system. Both types of closing system allows to close the bag and avoid leakage of the product inside the production area.

The operating cycle of the system is divided into two distinct phases: heavy dosing and trickle dosing. During the first phase the butterfly opens to allow the quick discharge of 95% of the product to be dosed until the heavy weight limit is reached. During the second phase the butterfly closes and the rotor (in the center of the butterfly) begins to trickle feed until the total weight of the product is reached.

An empty container is placed on the base of the scale, the liner is pulled until it touches the bottom of the container and the end is closed by means of a clip in order to form the “bag bottom”. At this point it is necessary to push the start button on the dosing terminal, and once the product has been discharged, a clip is placed to close the bag and another clip 10 cm above that one in order to create the necessary space to cut the bag. Finally, it is necessary to remove the container from the base and repeat the cycle described above.
